Back
the work,
monthly.
Members are the part of HalfCut that doesn't depend on August. A small, monthly commitment that keeps rangers paid, seedlings ordered, and the rainforest restoration running every month of the year.
Membership
tiers.
Three levels, all monthly, all going through Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation to fund the restoration program. Cancel any time.
Foundation membership. Funds one ranger-hour per month.
Equivalent to roughly one seedling planted, on Country, every week of the year.
Substantive monthly support. Funds roughly half a hectare of rewilding per year.
The detail.
Where does my membership money actually go?
One hundred per cent of profits go to Country, through Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation. The operational split is 92¢ to direct on-Country costs (rangers, seedlings, fuel, equipment), 5¢ to program delivery, 3¢ to compliance and audit. Published quarterly on the Impact page.
Is my membership tax-deductible?
Donations over $2 to HalfCut Organisation are tax-deductible in Australia. We are a registered Public Benevolent Institution with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, listed on the ACNC charity register.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. The Raisely subscription portal lets you pause, modify, or cancel at any time. No phone calls, no retention scripts.
Is membership different from donating?
Mechanically, it's the same money. Strategically, it's different work. Membership smooths income across the year, which lets the field team plan beyond August. One-off donations spike the budget in August and quiet it the rest of the year.
Can my organisation become a member instead of a person?
Yes. Corporate membership is run through HalfCut Alliances, a separate program with its own structure. Email partners@halfcut.org and we'll send the framework.
